HUDDERSFIELD Town manager Stan Ternent insists that his players can still win automatic promotion.
Town are just one point above the relegation zone ahead of today's trip to Swindon and supporters have been offered refunds on ticket money in the w
ake of the midweek defeat at Darlington in the JP Trophy.
Ternent, who was appointed in the summer, says his side just need the 'rub of the green' now to transform a stuttering season into one to savour.
"Unfortunately the breaks are just not going our way at the moment but if we keep performing like we are it will turn," he said. "My view is that the lads have played very well, that they are working hard in training and that they are a good set of players. If I can get my full team out, I don't think there are many better than us in this division. "
Winger Gary Roberts has been cleared to play after the Football Association rescinded his red card at Darlington.
Ternent believes there has been a definite improvement on last season's performances but says expectation levels at the club are now higher.
"Because of what has happened at the club and the expectation level, people are looking at it differently," he said.
