Trundle steers City to Wembley showpiece

LEE TRUNDLE helped Bristol City to a Wembley play-off showdown against either Hull City or Watford after his goal helped see off a battling Crystal Palace at Ashton Gate last night.

Trundle's strike in the 104th minute was followed six minutes later by Michael McIndoe's 20-yard screamer to deliver a 2-1 win on the night for Gary Johnson's team and a 4-2 aggregate victory.

Ben Watson had given Palace the lead in the 24th minute but later missed a second-half penalty.
