THE man dubbed the "dumbest criminal" in Leeds has been warned he faces jail if he uses the internet again to boast about his criminal activities.

Andrew Kellett became a laughing stock in May after he posted videos of his anti-social behaviour on the website You- Tube.

He was given the title of "Britain's dumbest criminal" by Leeds Council for posting 80 clips of criminal behaviour which made it easy for them to get an Anti-Social Behaviour Order from Leeds magistrates.

The Asbo, imposed yesterday, seeks to stop him using websites to brag about his stupid antics.

Some of the video clips have previously been shown in court in the earlier stages of securing an Asbo on Kellett. Yesterday he admitted 18 of the incidents which included racing cars at 120mph on a public highway and encouraging his viewers to street race while drunk.

Kellett, 23, of Stanks Drive, Swarcliffe, did not oppose the making of the Asbo.

The videos, under the username mrchimp2007, showed him:

  • Refusing to pay a private hire driver the correct fare

  • Being driven in a car in a dangerous and anti-social manner, at high speeds, and racing other vehicles

  • Videoing others using fireworks to create explosions in a wheelie bin belonging to another person, and in a microwave oven placed in the road

  • Filming taking Class A and other controlled drugs

  • Trespassing on a field in the local area and abusing the landowner when asked to leave.

Kellett even filmed himself receiving a suspended sentence at Leeds Magistrates' Court and posted the video on YouTube.

Kellett's Asbo, which runs until July 2010, bans him from posting images on the internet which "glorify unlawful activity".

Most of Kellett's videos have been removed from YouTube.
