HUDDERSFIELD GIANTS today confirmed the release of six players from the 2009 full time squad.
Liam Fulton, Paul Jackson, Richard Lopag, Joe Walsh, Tom Hemingway and Chris Lawson are released, with Scott Moore set to return to St Helens following the expiry of his loan spell and Michael Korkidas to remain at the Wildcats in 2010 on a season long loan.

Giants Managing Director Richard Thewlis said he hoped today's announcement would help quieten the rumour mill which had surrounded the Giants since their Wembley return.

Thewlis said: "It seems as soon as the September 1st deadline passes that the rumour mill in the game flies totally out of control and there is much speculation around players.

"I hope that the above satisfies some of the questions that our supporters are asking of us and that they respect the players own situations going forward and am sure that when any player feels comfortable to announce his future club then they will do so.

"In the meantime everyone at our Club is entirely focused on the game against Wigan and then the play off series.

"It remains a very exciting time to be a Giants supporter and am sure that we have much to look forward to in the short, medium and long term."
