Justin Morgan declared himself satisfied with Hull KR's season after securing a third derby win of the campaign with a 36-8 success over Hull.
The Robins posted six tries in a one-sided performance at Craven Park, with the visitors struggling to raise their game following last weekend's Challenge Cup defeat to St Helens.

Jon Steel, Makali Aizue, Ben Cockayne, Peter Fox, Mick Vella and St
anley Gene all crossed the line for the home side, who end their second campaign in the engage Super League in seventh place.

"It was very nice to finish with a flourish," said Morgan after the game, which attracted a record crowd for the ground of 10,197.

"Sometimes you can fall into the habit of being a bit loose in the last game of the season, especially after all the lead-up to last week in terms of Hull's fanfare about the cup, but I thought we were pretty focused about the game.

"We weren't squeaky clean with the way we performed but I thought we were dominant for most of the game.

"I think seventh is a fair reflection of where we are. Satisfied is a word I'd use.

"We've beaten everyone above us apart from Leeds, beaten the French twice, so I think seventh is a good reflection and a good standing of where we are in the competition.

"It would have been nice to have got to the play-offs but it was not to be. We need to kick on from this point. We need to make sure that we make some progress and have some more consistency in our play."

Hull coach Richard Agar branded his side "not good enough" after their 18th defeat of a campaign was riddled by injuries and sub-standard performances.

Two tries from Kirk Yeaman were not enough to spare Agar's blushes and, as well as refusing to blame the defeat on a hangover from last weekend's Challenge Cup final defeat, he has vowed to make the necessary changes to his squad for 2009.

"Probably the one positive to come out of today is that it is the end of the season for us," he admitted. "I can't find the right adjective to describe today.

"We've put enough excuses up for them this season and some things are inexcusable. Today probably summed up what we've been about this year - just not good enough, indisciplined and weak at times.

"Unfortunately you don't get two points for training sessions, you get two points for turning up and putting the effort in on a weekend.

"You might say we had a tough week last week and we did, but I think we were too easily ready to fall behind that excuse.

"We're going to have a look at the squad, it's safe to say you can't cut a swath through them all but we'll certainly have a look at the depth and quality of it.

"It's very difficult at this time of the year with the market but I think some blokes have probably had their last chance."
