HULL CITY transfer target Peter Halmosi has stated he would relish the chance to play in the Premier League.
The Plymouth Argyle wideman is wanted by Phil Brown as the Tigers manager looks to put together a squad capable of competing in the top tier.

Halmosi, 26, is rated in the £2m-plus bracket by the Devon club despite the Hungarian international having joined for £400,000 from Debrecen a little over 18 months ago.

Talks are understood to be on-going over a fee and the player is hoping that the deal will not be scuppered by Plymouth asking for too much money.

He told Hungarian daily sports newspaper Nemzeti Sport: "This is a thing which has always prevented me from stepping forward in my career before.

"I think I had a great season, enough to be able to step forward. I admit I would like to do so, and I hope this time there will not be any financial block.

"It seems my performances have caught the eyes of some clubs, but I don't know any more about it."

Halmosi has made 66 appearances for the Home Park club and scored 13 goals.
