So faced with guiding your club against the might of Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal, what would you do? Hull fan Gareth Richardson of Beverley gives his verdict on the season ahead.
What sort of a season lies ahead for your club: It is going to be a struggle, everyone knows that. So our start is vital.
I was not sure what to think when the fixtures came out because Fulham, Blackburn and Wigan as our firs
t three games could go one of two ways.
We could get one point and become disillusioned or we could beat Fulham and take points off the next two to give everyone real confidence.
The key will be our home form. Last season we went from losing 12 times at the KC in 2006-07 to just three defeats so we have to get after teams again.
Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal will probably win at the KC but we can make it tough for the likes of Everton, Aston Villa and Tottenham.
What do you think of the club's summer transfer activity: Phil Brown is doing what he and Sam Allardyce did at Bolton by bringing in players with something to prove.
Anthony Gardner played for England four years ago, while Geovanni was an £11m player not so long ago.
Neither should really be playing for us, but they are so will have something to prove.
The one area that we still need strengthening is up front – the old man (Dean Windass) can't keep doing it and Caleb Folan will not keep us up on his own.
Hero: Michael Turner – If we do go straight back down again next season then he will stay in the Premier League.
Villain: Sir Alex Ferguson – He wins everything but still moans.
He should calm down and think what it is like for a club like Hull City who have taken 104 years to get in the top flight. This means so much for us.
Which fixture this season excites you the most:
The first game, Fulham at home.
Who do you think will win the Premier League title: Chelsea.
Who do you think will be relegated: I think Blackburn will struggle but should just stay up. So, I will plump for Stoke, West Brom and Bolton.
If you could change one thing in football, what would it be: Take 15 points off of Leeds United every season.
Advice to manager: Stick with the 4-4-2 formation. He tried to change it last year but it didn't work.
Club's predicted finish: I believe we will finish safely in 17th position.
