BARNSLEY winger Martin Devaney is continuing talks with Championship rivals Blackpool over a proposed deal worth £150,000.
Manager Simon Davey is likely to off-load Devaney as part of a summer shake-up that has already signalled the arrival of Leicester City striker Iain Hume, French winger Mounir El Haimour, and Argentinian midfielder Hugo Roberto Colace.
Defender Alan Sheehan has completed a permanent switch to Leeds United from Leicester City.
Left-back Sheehan, 21, spent four months on loan at Elland Road last season and helped the club reach the League One play-off final.
His contract may have expired at Leicester but the clubs still need to agree a compensation fee as the player is under the age of 24.
Bradford City manager Stuart McCall has secured the services of former Sheffield Wednesday and Rotherham United midfielder Paul McLaren on a free transfer from Tranmere Rovers.
McCall has also scrapped a move for veteran defender Darren Moore after landing Graeme Lee from Doncaster Rovers instead.
Sheffield United reserve goalkeeper Ian Bennett has signed a new one year deal at Bramall Lane.
Bennett, who joined the club from Leeds United two summers ago, had also been offered a move to Crystal Palace by former Blades manager Neil Warnock.
Chris Wilder has quit as manager of non-league Halifax Town to become Alan Knill's new assistant at Bury.
The former Sheffield United and Bradford City defender spent six years in charge at the Shay but decided to leave following the club's demotion to Unibond Division One North.
