HULL City are set to complete the £2m signing of Hungarian international winger Peter Halmosi from Plymouth Argyle.
Halmosi, also a target for Sheffield United, underwent a medical yesterday after watching the club's friendly win over North Ferriby on Monday night.

Doncaster Rovers have won the race to sign Bristol City striker Darren Byfield.

Leeds United and Millwall were also interested in the Jamaican international, 31, who previously spent two seasons at Rotherham United.

Byfield scored eight goals in 33 appearances for Bristol last season but was released after the club's failure to win promotion.

Former Scotland international defender Paul Telfer has been offered an opportunity to secure a move to Leeds United.

McAllister is also running the rule over Canadian duo Marcus Haber and Josh Wagenaar who are seeking moves from Dutch clubs.

Former Barnsley goalkeeper Nick Colgan is on trial at Bradford City after being released by Ipswich Town.

The Republic of Ireland international, 34, will play in tonight's friendly at Farsley Celtic as manager Stuart McCall hunts a replacement for Donovan Ricketts.

Striker Michael Boulding, a target for both Rotherham United and the Bantams, is keen to land a deal that also includes his younger brother Rory. Both players were released by Mansfield Town this summer and are currently training with Rotherham.

Grimsby Town and Port Vale are chasing Barnsley midfielder Simon Heslop.
