Team news: George Boateng is the only doubt for the Tigers with the thigh strain that forced the veteran midfielder out of the opening day victory at home to Fulham.

The former Middlesbrough man also injured his neck during that win but Phil Brown insists the only concern is the player's thigh.

Otherwise, City travel to Ewood Park with a fully fit squad after all four of the players away on international duty returned injury-free.

Championship
Birmingham City v Barnsley

Team news: Striker Kayode Odejayi is set to make his first start of the season for Barnsley in the absence of the suspended Iain Hume and the injured Maceo Rigters.

Winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce, goalkeeper Heinz Muller, and midfielder Anderson De Silva are still three weeks away from a return to action but summer signing Mounir El Haimour has recovered from a calf injury.

Defender Marciano van Homoet serves the final game of a three match ban.

Simon Davey: "You have to look at the positives and our performances have been good. We have had a lack of concentration in one or two areas and we have to iron those lapses out.

"We are a better team this season and we are knocking on the door. Someone will be on the end of a hammering soon."

Blackpool v Sheffield United

Team news: Blades captain Chris Morgan is a major doubt after suffering concussion in last week's home game against QPR. Former England defender Ugo Ehiogu is set to deputise.

Striker James Beattie is not yet to fit return after knee surgery but could be available for next week's game with Cardiff City.

Winger David Carney is available again after returning from Olympic duty with Australia.

Yeovil Town v Leeds United 1.00pm

Team news: Neil Kilkenny is back in the United squad after missing the opening couple of weeks on international duty with the unsuccessful Australia squad at the Olympics.

Gary McAlllister may, however, stick with the same 16 that slipped to defeat at home to Oldham Athletic with the United manager hoping such a chastening experience will inspire his players.

Huddersfield Town v MK Dons

Team news: The Terriers could give two further debuts after Stan Ternent took his summer transfer activity to 10 signings with the capture of Liam Dickinson and Ian Craney in midweek.

Dickinson, on loan from Derby for a month, is hoping to start up front but may have to be content with a place on the bench after not featuring for the Rams since his summer move from Stockport County.

Rotherham United v Chester City

Team news: Millers captain Pablo Mills is a doubt for the game with Chester after struggling all week with a virus. Marc Joseph is available again after suspension. Winger Alex Rhodes has shaken off a minor knock and striker Marc Burchill pressed his claims for a start with a goal in the reserve team win over Bradford City.

Mark Robins: "You cannot rest on your laurels because we all know how quickly things can turn round in football."

Bradford City v Rochdale

Team news: Peter Thorne has not trained all week with a dead led picked up in the win at Macclesfield a week ago but the striker will start today after maintaining his fitness with non-contact work such as swimming.

But Chris Brandon (ankle) is still out, while Willy Topp will be missing for between two and four weeks with a hamstring problem picked up with the reserves in midweek.
