Sir, – Regarding the article about ruddy ducks ("Cull may save threatened species, Yorkshire Post, March 3), they are planning a "bigger cull" than last year. The RSPB feel that "it is regrettable, but it is a measure we feel, has to be taken to protect the white-headed duck."
Bang goes my donation (even though it's small) to them. They are only supposed to protect birds, not argue or intervene in their sex-life.
