Meet the artists at Hellifield peel

Margaret Uttley: Landscape artist whose work is held in private and public watercolour collections throughout the UK and internationally.

David Knight: Abstract artist. Marks, colour and surface are gradually animated within an autonomous image.

Jill James: Jeweller who combines precious metals, gem stones and weathered sea glass to create her pieces inspired by ancient civilisations.

Emily Knight: Studying Jewellery and Silversmithing at the Glasgow School of Art and makes contemporary jewellery.

Liz Bowe: Ceramicist who works with stoneware clay. The surfaces of her pots have been developed over a long period of time and she focuses on the depth of tone, reduction gas firing and crazing of the glazes.

Steph Black: Ceramics are inspired by a fascination for eroded surfaces together with the timeless qualities and subtle colours that age imparts on everything around us.

Eddie Curtis: Combines simple shapes and undecorated surfaces with intense copper red glazes. All the work is wheel-thrown and some is altered, beaten or planed at various stages of the drying process.

David Roberts: Ceramicist and a leading practitioner of Raku. David's work can be found in public and private collections throughout Europe and America.

Sarah Smith: Sculptor working mainly in locally- sourced stone and clay. Her work has been exhibited widely throughout the UK, including shows at The Orangery and Oxo Tower in London.
