Here are the gardens open to the public this week. Please note openings are subject to change so readers should check by phoning venues before travelling.
Saturday/Sunday July 4/5
Cullingworth Garden Trail. Gardens open in Cullingworth, Harden and Harecroft villages. Programmes 4, admits two people into all gardens on both days. Programmes can be obtained from local shops in Cullingworth, Harden Garage, Woodbank Nurseries and gardens on the day. 10-30am-5pm.
Hidden Gardens of Hunmanby, North Yorkshire. Various gardens, plus a teddy bear hunt and Sunday gardeners' question time. Adults 3, children free. Tickets on sale each day from 10.30am in Bayley Gardens. 11am-5pm.
Sunday July 5
Frog Hall Cottage, Langrick Road, New York. Adults 2.50, children free. 2-5pm.
Wheatlands woodland, Northfield Lane, Upper Poppleton. Butterfly walk. Free. 11am-1pm.

Harsley Hall, Northallerton. Five acres with herbaceous, roses, lakes, laws. Adults 3, children free. 2-5pm.
Hillbark, Church Lane, Bardsey. Award-winning three-acre garden with pond, summerhouse, gravel, rock and stream gardens. Adults 3, children free. 11am-5pm.
54 Chapel Street, Hambleton, Selby. Open garden, plus gardeners' question time (12.30 and 3.30), plant sales, books. Admission 1.50. 11am-5pm.
Wednesday July 8
Washdyke Farm, Lincoln Road, Fulbeck. Two acres with lawns, borders, stream, pond, woodland walk. Adults 3, children free. 2-7pm.
