Yorkshire Post video interview: Michael Palin
FORMER Monty Python Michael Palin returned to Yorkshire to collect a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Bradford International Film Festival.
The Sheffield-born actor and writer was honoured at the opening gala of the 14th festival, which is featuring a retrospective of his work including American Friends, Jabberwocky, the Monty Python films and A Fish Called Wanda.
Palin's work will headline the festival alongside that of Bafta-award winner and four times Oscar nominee Kenneth Branagh, who will receive a festival Fellowship Award.
Running for 16 days at the National Media Museum, the festival will be crammed with new releases, vintage classics, retrospectives, tributes and special guests including film critic Barry Norman.
The Yorkshire Post will bring you video interviews with many of the festival's guests over the next fortnight. The first, with Michael Palin, includes clips from some of his most memorable performances. Click PLAY to watch now.
