Leeds band Egokiller have released a Christmas single to raise money for a cancer charity.

Lead singer Greg Allen and bandmates are donating money to the Cancer Vaccine Institute, which funds research into the use of vaccines to fight cancer.

Mr Allen, 35, has previously raised money for the charity in memory of his brother Jeff, from Doncaster, who died after fighting cancer for 14 years.

"The idea to do the recording was inspired by the loss and battles of various band members' friends and family against the disease," said Mr Allen.

The single, titled The Hum and the Bug, is released on November 25. For more details go to www.myspace.com/egokillerband
