They may not be everyone's idea of canine beauty, but to their owners bulldogs represent the finest breed available.
Owners from across the country, including Veronica McStrauick and Yauo gathered in Sheffield to show off their prized animals at the autumn show of the Hopwood American Bulldog Club, which took place at the Concord Sports Centre in Shiregreen, Sheffield, on Saturday.
The club was formed three years ago to provide a platform for enthusiasts of the breed and now holds several shows each year at venues across England.
