Hundreds enjoyed the bright autumn sunshine as they took part in the 10th annual Bramham Park Fun Run yesterday in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The event offered a choice of 5km and 10km circuits covering a variety of terrains using roads, paths and farm tracks through the country estate near Wetherby.

Organiser Ann Newton said: "The event is increasing in popularity every year, last year 544 people took part and raised £8,000 for the charity.

''We are delighted to say that again this year Beadnall Copley estate
agents are sponsoring the event and covering all the set-up costs, which
means that all the money raised by participants will go directly to Cancer Research UK."
