SEARCHES are under way for two women missing in separate cases in Scarborough and Tadcaster.

Police have appealed for help in tracing the vehicle which is a red Ford Fiesta, YF54 CJU. Anyone with information is asked to contact 0845 6060247.

In Scarborough, a police underwater search unit from West Yorkshire joined coastguards, police, Scarborough Search and Rescue team, and a helicopter in the hunt for Janet Crowley, 46, from Whitby, who vanished from Cross Lane Hospital, Scarborough, last Wednesday.

She is white, 5ft 6in, thin, brown eyed with short dark brown hair.

A police spokesman said searches would continue in the Cross Lane and North Cliff Golf Club area and he urges people living in that area check their gardens and sheds."
