Demolition work starts yesterday to pave the way for a new 1,000-bed student village in Bradford.
The Peel Pub in Richmond Road will be replaced by Listerhills Sustainable Student Village in a £150m project forming part of a £3bn to £4bn Learning Quarter in the city – the biggest scheme in the district's regeneration – which its backers say will provide 'a centre of excellence for the region through design, education and innovation'.
