MASKED men attacked a worker in a raid on a Bradford chip shop.
The balaclava-clad men, who were carrying truncheons, hit the woman as she and her colleague were preparing to go leave Gulliver's fish and chip shop, in the Horton Bank Top area of the city, just after 9pm on Monday.

They grabbed a white cloth bag containing cash and fled towards Speeton Avenue.

Detective Inspector Gerry O'Shea, of Bradford South CID, said: "Both women were frightened and upset by this attack. One of them received a nasty cut to the head and received hospital treatment. It's possible a vehicle may have been waiting for the two men in Speeton Avenue.

"Fortunately, this level of violence during a robbery is unusual."

Anyone with any information is asked to contact DC Alan Sergeant at Bradford South CID on 0845 60 60 606.
