Last Saturday's showing of the 1922 movie Nosferatu with live jazz accompaniment is followed tomorrow night by jazz-rock award winners The Blessing and on Sunday by John Etheridge's Sweet Chorus tribute to Stephane Grappelli.

ray, whose pursuit of surprise knows no boundaries, admits that the present schedule sets new records in terms of diversity. "Luckily, I've got an audience with inter-changeable ears," he says.
"I believe in taking a chance, and they go along with me.They encourage me to try something new and their support is amazing. It makes The Shed a bit different from other venues."
Later in the month, there will be an appearance by tuba player Oren Marshall and the Charming Transport Band. Meanwhile, The Blessing and Sweet Chorus – with violinist Christian Garrick in the Grappelli role – maintain The Shed's allegiance to variety.
Pianist and composer Zoe Rahman joins her clarinet- playing brother Idris in a sextet which explores the music of their Bengali heritage at Wakefield Sports Club tonight, and master drummer Asaf Sirkis brings his new Electric Trio to the Millennium Hall in Sheffield.
