British worker killed in Iraq

A British security worker has been killed in Iraq, it was confirmed yesterday.
Richard Sedgley, 36, of Wolverhampton, West Midlands, was understood to have been killed in a roadside bomb but a spokesman for his employers, The Olive Group, refused to confirm the details of his death.
A statement released by the firm, which provides security for workers rebuilding facilities in Iraq, said: "We confirm that one of our employees, Richard Sedgley, was tragically killed on Sunday
in a hostile incident
while working in support of the international
reconstruction efforts in Iraq.
"Our thoughts, condolences and support are with the family and friends of Richard at this difficult time."
The spokesman added the firm was in close contact with Mr Sedgley's family and was making arrangements for his body to be flown back to the UK.
An investigation into the circumstances of his death is being held by the firm.
