Cherie Blair to open book festival

Cherie Blair will open this year's Ilkley Literature Festival heralding the start of the two-week annual celebration.
The wife of former Prime Minister, Tony Blair, will talk about her recent autobiography, Speaking for Myself. More than 100 authors are due to attend the festival from October 3 to 19.
Biographies will feature strongly and journalist Justine Picardie, will also be talking about the Brontës and her new novel which tells of Daphne Du Maurier's true-life obsession with the literary family.
Lionel Shriver will talk about Post Birthday World and life after We Need to Talk About Kevin, and Snow Falling on Cedars author David Guterson will fly in from the US to present his fourth novel. Other features include a focus on British Asian literature.
Tickets will be available from August 26.
