A BOY is facing prison for punching an innocent man who died after falling and hitting his head on a kerb.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, punched Mirfield Town captain Ross Wood who died of severe head injuries following the attack outside a West Yorkshire nightclub on November 19 last year.

The 22-year-old, known as "Woody" to mates, was rushed to nearby Dewsbury and District Hospital for surgery but died two days later with a fractured skull and brain swelling, having not regained consciousness.

The boy today pleaded guilty to manslaughter and was warned to expect a custodial sentence. The 15-year-old will be sentenced next month.
