A CYCLIST has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a crash near Doncaster.
Police said the rider was in collision with a black Honda Varadero motorbike on the A18 Tudworth Road in Hatfield, near the junction with Sandtoft Road.

The 58-year-old man, from Doncaster, was taken to the Northern General Hospital, in Sheffield, with head injuries.

The rider of the motorcycle received minor back injuries and his pillion passenger was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary with broken ribs and a suspected broken arm.

Officers believe the incident happened as the motorbike was overtaking the bicycle.
