The Institute of Directors has launched a new facility exclusively for its members at the landmark Leeds Club.
The hub at the rebranded 3 Albion Place will open on October 1 and will offer services including a wi-fi connected meeting room, larger private conference rooms and access to the restaurant and bar.

John Thompson, regional director for the IoD in
Yorkshire and the Humber, said: "The new facility will provide our members with a professional environment in which they can conduct business in the commercial centre of Leeds.

"This will certainly be of benefit to our Yorkshire membership but will also serve to aid members from outside of the region to operate within Leeds."

Seven other UK cities, plus Brussels and Paris, offer IoD centres which members can use whether based locally or visiting.

The IoD will move its regional headquarters from the Headrow to 3 Albion Place at the end of September.

The prestigious building dates back to 1820 and was built as residences for the son and grandson of William Hey, a distinguished surgeon. It was converted into The Leeds Club, as a meeting place for the city's leaders, in 1863.

The Leeds Club has some of the most well-appointed gentlemen's lavatories in the city.
