FOUR people have been arrested after a man was shot in the head in Wombwell near Barnsley.
The man was shot on Marsh Street and taken to hospital with a significant head wound.
South Yorkshire Police said three men and a woman had been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
A force spokeswoman said the injured man was still conscious when police were called to the scene.
