AN INQUEST into the death of Corinne Bailey Rae's musician husband will open on Thursday.
Police found the body of Scottish-born Jason Rae, 31, a saxophonist with funk band the Haggis Horns, at a flat in the Hyde Park area of the city on Saturday afternoon.

It is believed he died from a drugs overdose, but West Yorkshire Police said detectives are waiting for toxicology test results after the findings of a post-mortem examination proved inconclusive.

A 32-year-old man arrested on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs has been bailed pending further inquiries.

Bailey Rae, 29, met her musician husband while working as a cloakroom attendant at a Leeds jazz club. They married in 2001.

The Haggis Horns, who have played as a backing band for Amy Winehouse, Mark Ronson and Bailey Rae herself, recently released a well-received debut album called Hot Damn!

The inquest will open at Leeds Coroner's Court on Thursday morning.
