A YORKSHIRE solicitor has been charged with stealing money from his former practice.
Simon Morgan, 47, a former senior partner at Milners in Leeds, was charged with theft following a lengthy police investigation.

The probe began more than two years ago into the alleged disappearance of large sums of money belonging to the company and to clients.

Mr Morgan, who lives in the York area, was a senior partner at Milners Solicitors in Great George Street until August 2004.

Two other people have been charged with false accounting at the firm.
One is a 40-year-old woman from Leeds, the other a 41-year-old man from the Barnsley area.

All three will appear before magistrates next month.
