DETECTIVES sealed off parts of a South Yorkshire town after the body of a 55-year-old woman was found in a yard at the rear of a pub.
Forensic teams have been examining several scenes in High Street, Mexborough, near Doncaster, after the body was discovered late last night.

Both the Bull's Head pub and Paula's Sandwich Bar on Mexborough High Street have been cordoned off and guarded by police community support officers.

The woman was found "at the foot of a high wall" at around 11pm, a police spokesman said, and paramedics were called.

A man, 62, is in custody having been arrested on suspicion of murder.

A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out by a Home Office patholgist later.
