POLICE seized two dogs and three cockerels after a raid on a Bradford house yesterday.

Officers attended the property on Dalby Avenue after receiving information the public that a resident was suspected of being involved with animal cruelty.

A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty and animal neglect.

Four motorcycles were also recovered in the raid, which was a joint operation with the RSPCA.

The animals are now in the care of the RSPCA, and enquiries are continuing to establish ownership of the motorcycles.

The man was later released on bail.

“Animal cruelty is a horrible crime and this demonstrates that we will work with partners to tackle those suspected of being involved in it.”
