FOUR armed and masked men forced their way into a house in South Yorkshire before escaping with cash.

The four robbers threatened the 58-year-old occupant after he answered the door of the house in Hampole Balk Lane, Skellow, near Doncaster, at 8.40pm on Wednesday.

The man suffered minor injuries and detectives say has been left “incredibly shaken” by his ordeal.

Two of the men were carrying large knives and snatched cash before fleeing.

They were wearing dark clothing and had their faces covered with masks or balaclavas. Three were black, while the other is described as being Asian or mixed race.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw four men acting suspiciously in the area prior to the incident. Anyone with information is urged to call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
