Acne-scarred thug makes knifepoint raid on care home
A POCKMARKED armed robber brandishing a knife escaped with a large amount of cash after threatening an assistant manage at a Yorkshire care home.
North Yorkshire Police appealed for witnesses following the robbery at Haisthorpe House Residential Home in Holgate Road in York.
The man who has bad acne to the lower part of his face fled with the money and a mobile phone.
The robber is thought to be in his mid-30s, about 5ft 7in tall and of a medium build. He was wearing a black woolly hat and dark clothing, possibly a tracksuit.
Police officers carried out searches of the area following the raid at 11.10am on Thursday and a force spokeswoman confirmed investigation are continuing.
