Arab women celebrated
Curator Clara Morgan inspects an alabaster statue dating from the second century BC which has been loaned to Sheffield's Weston Park Museum by the British Museum.
The 2,000-year-old figure of an unknown female was chosen by members of Sheffield's British-Yemeni community to form the centrepiece of new displays celebrating inspirational Arab women. It is set to go on show to visitors on Monday.
Museums Sheffield, which runs Weston Park Museum, has been working with the city's Yemeni Community Association and pupils from Abbeydale Grange School to explore the influence of historical Yemeni rulers.
