Boarding school's double celebration
A BOARDING school in the Yorkshire Dales is celebrating receiving outstanding reports from two separate inspection bodies.
Giggleswick School, near Settle, has hosted visits from both Ofsted and the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) in recent weeks.
The ISI inspection rated the quality of the private school's education, care and its governance.
In seven of nine inspection categories the school was rated as outstanding, including the quality of the education experience, the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of pupils and the links with parents and the wider community.
Ofsted's inspectors assessed the school's boarding provision which it rated as outstanding.
The school's headmaster Geoffrey Boult said: "I am absolutely delighted with these reports and they provide an objective assessment based on a considerable amount of data, as well as what the inspectors observed during their week here.
"This confirms what all those connected to Giggleswick already know: that we are one of the leading providers of a boarding education in
the country."
