BusinessTalk: Will Nick Clegg revive Forgemasters loan?
NICK Clegg says the Government will announce new investment in Yorkshire over the next few months, after a leading businessman warned the region was in danger of "falling off the world business map". Listen to informed debate in the weekly business programme from the Yorkshire Post.
Mr Clegg also hinted there might after all be support for Sheffield Forgemasters, which recently saw the cancellation of an 80m loan from the previous Government.
He was speaking after Kevin McCabe, the businessman whose empire includes Sheffield United, said the decision to scrap the Yorkshire Forward development agency could harm the local economy.

He says establishing local lenders in cities like Leeds would help small businesses by making the financial services sector more competitive. He also calls for more breaking up of the banks and warns of the dangers of a Japanese-style "lost decade".
