Car club firm expands across home city
A LEEDS-based car club is expanding the number of bays it holds in the city to make the service more convenient for members.
WhizzGo, which provides both residential and corporate members with an alternative to owning a car, now has more than 1,100 Leeds-based members, making it the largest car club of its kind in the north of England.
Membership has been boosted by almost a fifth in the last quarter as motorists and companies become increasingly fuel and cost-conscious.
Now the firm is expanding by launching 13 new bays across the city, and it is offering four hours free drive time to anyone who joins before the end of October. The free hours must be used within a month of joining.
New bays will be provided in new locations including Holbeck, Roundhay, Meanwood, Headingley and new locations in Leeds city centre.
WhizzGo also operates in Sheffield and York and has the widest network of car clubs in the UK in 15 cities stretching from Belfast to Brighton.
