Castle Hill bares its secrets
Huddersfield's best-known ancient monument, Castle Hill, was visited for the first time by members of the new Kirklees Young Archaeologists Club.
The visit included a guided walk by Castle Hill ranger Julian Brown who explained some of the history of the Hill and the myths and legends that surround the site. Later this year it is hoped the club, which opened in January, will visit to another notable Huddersfield landmark –the nearby Tolson Museum.
