City's winning ways from Danish designer
Planners have unveiled the winning design for a new footbridge which will be built over one of the busiest gateways to Sheffield city centre.
A competition was held for architects to design the bridge, which will span Sheffield Parkway, the dual carriageway which links the city to the M1.
The design was drawn up by Tim Norlund, a young architect from Denmark, who beat over 100 other entries to win the prize.
Mr Norlund joined forces with International engineering firm Ramboll Whitbybird after his design was short-listed to the second stage in the competition. They will now work together with both Sheffield and Rotherham Councils, to bring the scheme to fruition.
