Crippled soldier walks tall
Corporal Ricky Furgusson, who lost both legs in a bomb blast in Afghanistan as well as suffering horrific facial injuries, is decorated with the Military Cross by the Queen.
Cpl Furgusson, 25, of 4th Battalion The Rifles, who wore a pair of carbon fibre legs costing 32,000 for the ceremony, said he felt honoured to receive the gallantry award for going to the aid of wounded comrades on four separate occasions.
