Dramatic start for young actor's career
A Leeds schoolboy is making his acting debut in a BBC drama.
Luke Hudson was auditioning for the first time when he clinched the part as the on-screen son of actor David Morrissey in the forthcoming drama Five Days, which tells the story of a newborn baby abandoned at a Yorkshire hospital. The 11-year-old from Rawdon attends the Central Stage Academy in Yeadon and was put forward for the audition by drama school principal Carol Bicker.
Luke, a pupil at St Mary's School in Menton, said: "I didn't expect to get chosen but I was very excited when I was told I had." The drama is expected to be on the BBC1 schedule in the next few weeks. It was filmed between July and December at locations across Yorkshire.
