Drivers warned over cow on loose near M1
AN ESCAPED cow caused an accident after it strayed onto the M1 motorway in West Yorkshire.
A Toyota Corolla crashed after the driver was forced to swerve to avoid hitting the animal between junctions 38 and 39 near the Woolley Edge services at 10.30pm on Thursday.
A passenger in the car suffered minor injuries, police said.
Despite an extensive search the cow had not been found and officers are urging drivers in the area to be cautious.
