Family's plea to find gun killers
THE family of a man who was shot dead at his home issued a heartfelt plea yesterday for information about his murder.
Lorry driver Richard Deakin, the father of two young daughters, was gunned down in Chasetown, Staffs, on July 5.
Urging the public to help the murder inquiry, the 27-year-old's partner, Megan Deakin, remembered him as the "best dad ever".
In a statement, she said: "The cowards who did this are not people, they are animals. People may be scared to come forward, but if they don't, Richard's killers will still be out there."
Anyone with information is urged to call 01785 233600.
