Hannah’s chance to make her mark in capital with artwork
Artist Hannah Limbachia has been given the chance to make her mark.
The 21-year-old, who gets her inspiration from urban and street art and music, was one of 18 young people from up and down the country chosen to take part in a project at London’s O2 arena.
Hannah, of Moortown, Leeds, who was given the task of producing a 6m mural, was inspired by the theme of peace and freedom and created her artwork using large marker pens.
“I get my inspiration from urban and street art and music.
“There’s a lot of war going on around the world and I wanted to do something to challenge that,” Hannah added.
She was given the chance to create her artwork in a London warehouse before its display at the O2, where it will be seen for three months.
The exhibition was organised by somewhereto, which helps young people find space to express themselves and professional graffiti artists The Graffiti Life Company.
Hannah, who works as a hospitality assistant at St Gemma’s Hospice, in Moortown, Leeds, produces illustration, photography and surface patterns in her spare time.
The former Leeds College of Art and Design pupil said the experience in London was “really good fun” and she hopes it will lead to other projects.
