Hunt for Adams's Rolex
A Rolex watch, given to former footballer Tony Adams for winning the league and FA cup double in 1998, has been stolen.
The 2,000 watch, one of 36 given to members of the Arsenal squad, was taken from the ex-defender's home near Cirencester in Gloucestershire.
The back of the watch is engraved with the words: "Double Winners 1998 Tony Adams".
Nothing else was taken and Mr Adams said he was appealing for the person to return the watch and he would leave the matter there.
Gloucestershire Police said they believed the watch was taken from the house sometime between 2pm and 6pm on Tuesday, January 14.
Police said Mr Adams' home was insecure due to renovation work, and they were treating it as a theft rather than a burglary.
Det Con Nigel Hatten said: "There is very little chance that such a watch could be sold on for profit because it is unique."
Mr Adams said: "It is not every day you complete the league and cup double, and this Rolex was a nice memento of a great season. The watch can obviously be replaced but any substitute will not have the same meaning to me as the original."
Three men were arrested over the theft, but released on police bail, pending further inquiries. The watch remains missing.
