Hurry to place bids for our charity auction
IF you want to get your hands on some of the unique prizes on offer in the Yorkshire Post Christmas Charity Auction, you should hurry – because week one of the event is nearly over.
Readers wanting to get their hands on the exciting lots have until 5pm on Friday to place their bid – and do not forget that all money raised goes to the Prince's Trust to support young people who are unemployed, have been in care, are struggling in school or have been in trouble with the law across the region.
Prizes include a day in Prince Charles's Highgrove Estate gardens, part of Fernando Alonso's F1 world championship winning car from 2005, a signed, platinum disc from Rod Stewart and a training session for 10 dads and their kids with Huddersfield Town FC legend, Andy Booth.
The former striker, who scored 161 goals during his career, said: "The Prince's Trust gives young people much-needed help and I am delighted to be supporting them. I came through the youth system at Huddersfield Town and I know what a big difference that support made during the rest of my career.
"Anyone bidding for the coaching course can expect an enjoyable day and, hopefully, an insight into the training of a professional footballer."
Each week for five weeks, the Yorkshire Post will be offering a new set of unique prizes that will be perfect for Christmas both for you and for the young people across Yorkshire that your money will help support. The online auction is sponsored by accountants Grant Thornton.
