Just the ticket for young cancer patients

Mike Waites YOUNG cancer patients at St James's Hospital in Leeds will be able to watch Leeds United following the donation of two season tickets for matches at Elland Road in memory of a devoted fan who died of the disease.

John and Sandra Reeve have donated two season tickets to the unit in

memory of their son Tim, a lifelong Leeds United

supporter, who died from acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in December aged 23.

Mr Reeve raised 75,000 earlier this year in a 500-mile trek from Wembley to Frankfurt during the World Cup.

The cash is being given to the Teenage Cancer Trust to help improve facilities for young people with cancer and for research into leukaemia which is the most common cancer in teenagers.

But they also decided they would like to buy tickets for a patient at the St James's unit and a carer to watch Leeds United.

Mr Reeve said: "It will give them something to look forward to which will help them as part of their care and hopefully as part of them getting better."
