Just in time for Valentine's Day... the love sausage
IT'S about eight inches long and guaranteed to tickle your fancy this Valentine's Day. And before you ask, it's a sausage.
Big enough to share and cooked with aphrodisiac seasonings, the so-called Couples' Love Sausage is a snip at 19,99.
It is the idea of Sally Jackson, owner of Scunthorpe's Pink Pig Farm. She said: "We have been experimenting with a variety of added ingredients to our sausages and burgers over the last few years and our customers love the different flavours.
"This is the first time we have produced a sausage for two people and with the addition of aphrodisiac ingredients, there should be some good fun and good loving this Valentines. We already have a waiting list."
Comprising 90 per cent organic pork, with the added spice of ginger, apricots and beetroot, the sausage is available from the Pink Pig farm shop at Holme Hall, Scunthorpe and online at www.pinkpigfarm.co.uk.
