Microsoft director to give digital talk

Kathryn Moore THE director of small business for Microsoft UK will be in York next month to speak at a conference focusing on York's growing IT and digital industries. John Coulthard will present a keynote speech at the event which will be held at York Racecourse on May 19.

The conference – organised by IT & Digital York, part of Science City York – will feature workshops on subjects including security and software.

The convention is designed to attract local, regional and national organisations operating in the IT and digital sector.

Science City York provides support to technology-based businesses in York and North Yorkshire, and promotes three technology business clusters: Bioscience York, Creative York, and IT & Digital York.

It was established in 1998 as a partnership between the City of York Council and the University of York, and is supported by Yorkshire Forward and Business Link.
