Minster message: Cameron praises Archbishop's 'lovely' sermon
Tory leader David Cameron attended the Christmas service at York Minster with his wife and children, hearing Archbishop of York Dr John Sentamu warn bankers against "exploitative lending".
The family are spending Christmas at the stately home Sutton Park, 10 miles north of York which is owned by Sir Reginald Sheffield, Mr Cameron's father-in-law.
Samantha Cameron was wearing a brown sheepskin coat with a fur collar, knee-high boots and a pair of blue jewel ear-rings, while her husband, pushing their son Ivan, who has a rare form of cerebral palsy, in a wheelchair, wore a dark suit, V-neck jumper and light blue tie.
After the service, the Archbishop spoke briefly to the Tory leader and his young sons. Mr Cameron praised the Archbishop for the "lovely service". He said: "He made us think about all those less fortunate than ourselves. It was a lovely sermon, a beautiful service and lovely singing."
